Don't you just hate it when...
1.
2. "crisis dust" seems to be sprinkled around friends and family from every angle and you can't understand the logic, reason, or pattern...
3. you waste time without realizing it, and you have the harsh realization that you can't get that time back...
4.
5. you hear bad news about marriages...
6. you can be dressed cute and feel "put together" and then be around someone who in their precious petiteness, or intellectual vocabulary, or calm confidence can make you feel gawky and awkward...
7. everything in your life is going great, but you can't shake small inklings of discontent...
I must be getting a case of the "Back-to-school-Blues..." I can't believe it is so soon! This week in my "Believing God" Bible study, I learned about how powerful God made our tongues--words, how he intended for us to use that power and those words to glorify him and encourage others. I also studied how, on the flip side, words spoken to us by others have a serious impact on our self-views, worth, esteem. Ultimately, the study encouraged us to find healing from words, past hurts, etc.
This week's words came at the perfect time for me, and today I want to be intentional about using words of encouragement and affirmation to those I love as well as find what God's word says about our worth and his amazing love for us.

OOh girl. Must be something in the water. I feel your pain. I miss you and can't wait til we can meet up in D-city this fall to compare notes and share news. You are an awesome WOMAN and FRIEND!!!!
I hear ya on...all of that! Hope things look up after this weekend. Thank you for the reminder of God's love as well.
I'm sorry you've had sad feelings, and it seems someone has hurt you. I do want you to know since you've left, I've heard from more people (who I didn't even know knew you) talk about what a true friend you are. These are only a few of the words that I've heard to describe you...maybe they'll serve as a little pick me up as a topper to your Bible Study this week:
Genuine, Caring, Kind, True to Self and friends, Christian, Strong, and Faithful.
I'm just sad that I didn't get the chance to know you better while you were here.
Thanks for the encouragement, guys. You are kind friends. I don't think I realized how Eor-ish my post sounded. Things are actually good with me--my thoughts were just in passing--that even though we are grown-ups, things aren't always rosebuds and popcicles. Sometimes when you think you are past something, things just come back on you in different ways... You know!?!
number one is my biggest. running into people from the past make me revert back and I have no clue why! uggghhhhhhh! drives me CRAZY....
hang in there. number six definitely applies to you but in the sense of the person who makes me feel fat and ugly because you ALWAYS look good!
love ya
Oh, Kristy - somehow your blog posts always apply to me when I read them! Are you reading my mind?? :-)
I needed to read this post today & know that someone else has some of the same feelings I do at times!
