Come on, ABC!

So, here's my rant for the evening... My number 2 and 3 shows, Grey's Anatomy and Lost, respectively, are a weekly inspiration to me. Seriously. However, I have lost all patience with ABC this season because of its inconsistency in showing the new episodes. It seems like I get totally into a show one week, and get ready to watch my TiVo'ed episode the next, only to find that it was a repeat of a previous season, an "overview of the series" (That's why the first seasons are out on DVD, people!), or a 2-hour Alias special. Bump that. (No offense, Alias fans. Love ya.)

I truly believe that 2 of the best shows on television are losing ground because they haven't had the chance to get into any kind of flow this season, and that is a shame. Tonight, for example, I was looking forward to coming home from church to enjoy what I thought to be a riveting new episode of Lost, yet it turned out to be another season recap. Same deal Sunday night with Grey's Anatomy. I have seriously contemplated writing ABC as a disgruntled fan to complain about the whole ordeal. I plan to continue to be a faithful watcher--I've invested a lot into Meredith, McDreamy, Kristina, Jack, Sawyer, and Kate, but my patience is running thin... Is anyone out there with me? Get with the program, ABC! Give us our shows!

Thank goodness there is no break in the seasons of 24. I'm afraid I'd claw someone's eye(s) out with all that pent up suspense.

Totally with you. In my mind, there can be 2 reasons for the "Lost" lag:

1. It rained for about 5,149 hours straight in Hawaii and they had to stop filming.

But alas, that was a joke and it is probably...

2. J.J. Abrams gets obsessed with one project at a time (Felicity, Alias, Lost, MI:3, and now What About Brian) and can't keep all of his plates spinning. C'mon JJ--can't you learn from past mistakes?

It does seem to be an ABC problem, however, b/c of the GA recap. What in the world?

In defense of Alias fans, we are just as disgruntled. Before that 2-hour special, we had not seen the show since December..it took at 3-month break!!

(Thanks for letting me put a mini-rant on the end of yours!)

I am sorely dissapointed this week... with desperates too. I wait with baited breath for Mcdreamy to make out with Meredith all week long...and Lost is breaking my heart. Hello! I want to see Jack and Kate hook up-or Kate and Sawyer-whichever comes first! Yes, I do live vicariously through my beloved tv characters. I mean really? ummm and has anyone watched what about Brian?? Gag me with a spoon. OMGAH Brian I love you but I will marry warren from legally blonde instead because I have a strangely fat upper lip! loooove me!!!-I think I just became inspired for my next blog...thanks!-ps did anyone see Julie from Felicity's cameo appearance in that first episode??

Yes, I concur that What About Brian is disturbing all around. And I am so disappointed! I wanted it to be a grown-up Felicity. Sad sad sad. (Even sadder--what if it IS, and Felicity was just as morally bankrupt as this show and I never noticed! Surely not right?) I gave it a 2-episode trial run and I have officially given up.

And Ash--I caught the Julie cameo. That was funny.

I used to be a faithful apprentice fan--especially in the Omarosa season... :) I'll have to tune in to see your friend. Als, I'm with you, Kel, on the fundamental difficulty of buying books. I'm a second-hand trade books kind of girl. I like the library, but I always rack up fines.

And, Lindsay and Jesse, I'm with you on What About Brian. What a severe disappointment. I couldn't sleep peacefully after all that open marriage crapola. It left me extremely uneasy, and I will not watch it again.

And, Ash, I too caught the Julie cameo...
