Winds of change

They've been a-blowing.

I love that verse I quoted in my last post about how God knows the exact time and places for us. I find so much comfort in that. I also find comfort in the Ecclesiastes verses about having seasons for everything under the sun.

This is a season of change for sure.

I have traded my high schoolers for pre schoolers. I have traded my stressful yet secure and empassioned full time teaching career for 3 part time jobs. Sometimes I wonder what I have gotten myself into. Other times I thank the Lord that my husband had the faith and desire to encourage me to make this change. He knew I needed one. After 8 years and 8000+ essays that have been graded in that time, I was weary. As a wife, a mom, a friend. As a teacher.

I now teach a preschool class at Sunshine Day School on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-2. I tutor essay writers at tutor.com. I will also teach college English courses at University of Phoenix.

I am thrilled and thankful.

Even though there are busy days ahead, I am so excited to spend my days with my girls. I am thankful to still be teaching and learning. I am thankful to see how God will use this season.

For the first time, I have made bulletin boards and name tags. I have printed color sheets and handwriting sheets. I will sing clean up songs. Then I will put on pjs and help students with papers, and I'll even dress up one night a week and do my English thing in higher education.

I am so excited and again so thankful. Here are some pics of my classroom. Let the adventure begin!

Congrats! Will the University of Phoenix gig be online? My husband and I are both interested in that possibility for our next season.
